This involves 1-1/2 hours only, and you simply meet at a senior highrise, and assist the seniors with their sacks of groceries.  It is a wonderful way to serve with your young kids.  (We have 2 locations in Olathe, 1 in OP, and I in Shawnee.)

 DECEMBER
 
Saturday, December 6, -  1-1/2 hours of serving-time, no matter the location.  Starting times vary depending on the actual site, but are between 9:00a.m.-10:00a.m. (meet at the various sites)   - filled.
Assist with Commodity Groceries for Cross-Lines (typically helping the seniors carry their groceries up to their apartments for them, plus visit with them.)
  
Saturday, December 6,   6:45-11:00am (meet there)    - filled
Serve Breakfast at Cross-Lines to approximately 70 people.  Meet there.
 
 
 Thursday, December 11, 5:30pm – 8:00pm  (meet there)   -  filled -  Serve Dinner at KC Rescue Mission  (to approx. 150 homeless and/or impoverished men)
Saturday, December 13, 11:00am-8:00pm  -filled (preferably 1-2 of those being men)
 
Prepare and Serve Meals with Feed the People (Feed the People serve alongside you in both preparing and going out into the KCMO community to serve hot meals.  2 Feed the People vans are used to serve the meals out of, and approximately 150 homeless and/or impoverished men and women are fed out of each van!)

Saturday, December 27,  5:30pm – 8:00pm  (meet there)   - filled -  However, 60 more individual servings of desserts needed (brownies, cookies, cakes, etc.) and 10 LARGE cans of vegetables needed (each can is 6+ lbs.)  - any amt. of cans you can donate is great!
